Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday

November 30th at Resthaven Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 PM.

Funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Resthaven Abbey Chapel with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Bob was born on January 27, 1922 in LeSeur Center, Minnesota to George Earl and Rose Amanda (Erickson) Johnston. He married Marguerite Hudnall on January 5, 1946 in Superior, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death on December 28, 2011.

He served in Army Air Corps (Air Force) during World War II as a navigator Bombardier. He was also a bookkeeper for Hi-D-Ho Drive-in, Yates Carpet in Lubbock and Stacy’s Furniture in Levelland.

They were members of the Catch-All-Eight Square Dance Club for many years. They were members of Highland Baptist Church.

He is also preceded in death by his daughter in law Sue Johnston.

Bob is survived by his sons, Roger Johnston and Tom Johnston both of Midland; daughters, Carolyn Willis and Linda Garnica both of Lubbock and Sharon McDonald of Sayre, Oklahoma; brother, Melvin Johnston; sister, Lois Herzog of Superior, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
