Pat Barnes

Lubbock – Services for Pat Barnes, 79, of Lubbock, will be at 10 am on Saturday, March 10, 2012 in Resthaven’s Mausoleum Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven. Mrs. Barnes passed away on Monday, March 5th.

Pat was born on April 4, 1932 in Amarillo, TX to Jack and Nora Webb Green. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1950. She married Royce Barnes on September 28, 1950 in Tucumcari, NM. They moved to Lubbock from Amarillo in 1971. She was a member of the Prairie Dog Sam RV Club and participated in the Special Olympic Torch Run for 10 years. She was also a member of Southside Church of Christ and traveled with the Gospel Journal Bookstore.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Green and a sister, Jo Barnes.

Survivors include her husband, Royce; two sons, Steve and wife Nita, and Greg and wife Susan, all of Lubbock; one daughter, Jackie and husband Jimmie Weddel of Wolfforth; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Southside Church of Christ Building Fund.
