Opal Faye Thomas

Opal Thomas received her education in Lorenzo, Texas. Opal was united in holy matrimony with Freddie G. Thomas July 6, 1959 and to this union five children were born

Mrs. Opal Thomas worked as home healthcare provider for 12 years.

She accepted Christ as her personal savior joining First Progressive Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastors Homer & Deshun Avery. She was a faithful member who served on the Usher board, faithfully, until her death.

On November 8, 2018 Mother Opal Thomas heard the voice of the Lord saying “Well done, thy good and faithful servant.” She awaits the coming of the Lord

She leaves to cherish her memories are four daughters, Joyce Thomas-Alvarado of Lubbock, TX Charla Thomas-Phillips(Flenoy) of Corpus Christi, TX, Sonia Thomas of Crowley, TX, Stefani Thomas of Lubbock, TX,. Opal also raised four grandsons as her own, Jashaun Thomas, Christopher Thomas, Michael Thomas, Quinton Burleson, 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
