Louise McCabe

A celebration of life for Louise McCabe, 95, will be held Thursday June 19, 2014 at graveside in Resthaven Memorial Park. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in Resthaven Funeral Home.

Doris Louise McCabe was born February 9, 1919 in Arkansas City, KS to Garrett and Ida Vandever. Louise married Logan McCabe November 10, 1940 in Arkansas City, KS., they celebrated 70 years of marriage in November of 2010. She owned and operated 5 Bar M Stables for many years. Louise and Logan were charter members of Lubbockview Christian Church. She had been a member of the Women’s club, enjoyed playing bridge, 42 and square dancing.

Louise is survived by 3 children, Doug McCabe and his wife Kathy of Dallas, Stan McCabe and his wife Teresa of Lubbock and Marianne Jones and her husband Neil of Lubbock; grandchildren, Lindsey Horton, Derek Jones, Carson McCabe, Cassidy McCabe, Brooks McCabe, Dustin Jones, Taylor McCabe and Kinsey Tolley; 6 great-grandchildren.
