He enjoyed playing golf with friends and family. He loved the insurance profession and taking care of his clients for over 50 years in Lubbock. He loved fishing and vacationing in the mountains.
He was born on April 16, 1935 to Jess W. Hensley and Jewel Ethridge Maisen. He graduated from Shriner’s School and attended Texas Tech University. He is survived by the love of his life for 60 years Roylene Wheeler Hensley and was married on May 15, 1954. He served in the Army during early years of their marriage.
Other survivors include his stepsister Judy Criswell of Lubbock. A son, Kevin Hensley and wife Courtney of Atlanta, GA. A daughter, Dana Morrison and husband Tom Morrison of Grapevine, TX. Three grandchildren, Cory Piland and wife Allyn Piland of Lubbock, Cole Hensley and Colin Hensley of Atlanta, GA and 2 great grandchildren, Carter and Braxton Piland of Lubbock. Other survivors include 3 step grandkids, Jamin Morrison, Cheree Allen and Melissa Zaccarello and 5 step great grandkids, Brooke, Brenda, Blaine, Piper and Gabriella.
He will be truly missed by all that knew him and loved him. He will live in our hearts forever.
