J.D. passed from this life Wednesday, November 09, 2011.
J.D. Hord, Jr. was born February 21, 1921 in Valley Mills, Texas to the late Joplin Daniel and Mary Hord.
He married the love of his life, Martha Owens, June 4, 1947.
J.D. served in the United States Army during WWII.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his loving wife, Martha, daughters; Joyce and husband, Retired Lieutenant Colonel Craig Murra, of O’Fallon, ILL, Lynn Womack of Plano, grandchildren; Cypil and husband, JD Douglas, Erika and husband, Justin Crawford, Jack and wife, Ashlie Murra, Kent and wife, Mashiko Murra and Heath Murra, 7 great grandchildren and his beloved Chihuahua, Walter
