Geneva Maxey

She was Born January13, 1926 in Ladonia, Texas to Carl and Clara (Carlen) Tadlock.

She worked at Lokey Cleaners for many years. She loved being a mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children; Carol (Dewayne) Jennings of Lubbock, Jack (Veronica) Maxey of Lubbock, Jane (James) Gibson of Lubbock and Jean (Joe) Gibson of Seminole, Texas, 12 grandchildren; Melissa Bains, Julie Townsend, Jamie Gibson,Jason Gibson, Stacy Gibson, Heather Maxey, Shane Maxey, Penny Stovall, Tresa Winters, Casey Doahoo, Brittany Rohling, Shelton Rohling and 21 great grandchildren, two sisters; Peggy Gilman of Lubbock and Patsy King of Renton, Washington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bryant L. Maxey in March of 2009, parents, two brothers; Guy and Carl Jr. Tadlock, three sisters; Thelma Maxey , Maude Sessums and Marie Westbrook.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 5pm-7pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 10:00 AM at South Park Baptist Church, 2201 82nd Street, Lubbock with burial to follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
