Doris Glynn Taylor, age 93, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023. Doris was born in Shamrock, Texas to the late Glynn and Marian Bell. She graduated from Shamrock High School and Texas Tech University. Doris met and married the love of her life, Jack Taylor, in 1950. They made their home in Seminole, Texas, where they raised their three sons, Jack owned and operated a oilfield service company and Doris was a teacher. As much as Doris loved teaching school, her greatest love was playing Bridge. In 1978 they returned to Lubbock were they enjoyed their retirement.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack Taylor and a son Jim Taylor.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, David Taylor of Lubbock and Gary Taylor of Ingleside; sister JoAn Seago, of Borger and Barbara Burkhalter, of Plano.
