Charles Roe Huff

Charlie graduated from Cooper High School. He met Vera Duerksen in Plainview, TX; the two married in 1968. The couple moved to Odessa where they had their first daughter, Melissa. Then the family moved back to Lubbock and had their second daughter, Melanie.

Charlie worked for some time in real estate in the Lubbock area. He then moved on to own and operate a car repair garage for over 30 years. Charlie was known for his unassuming generosity. He was always happy to help anyone anyway he could; the stranded motorist, the farmer’s broken down tractor in the field, the daughters and grandchildren who always needed a vehicle running. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ricky Huff.

He is survived by his wife, Vera Huff of Lubbock, TX; daughters, Melissa Garrett (Jon) of Omaha, NE and Melanie Mitchell (Bret) of Lubbock, TX; sister, Gwen Jorden (Bob) and seven grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Resthaven Memorial Park.
