Carolyn Bradford

She was born November 14, 1935 to Emmitt Justice and Myra Barrett in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. Her mother passed when she was just the tender age of three, therefore being raised by her paternal grandmother, Nellie Button Case. Carolyn graduated from Brookhaven High School 1955 in Brookhaven, Mississippi whereas she then joined the United States Air Force in July 1956 and was honorably discharged in October 1957. While in the Air Force she was set up on a blind date, met and married the love of her life Thomas B. Bradford on July 12, 1957, in Charleston, South Carolina. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2013 just shy of 56 years of marriage. Carolyn and Tom will be joining as one together for eternity from this day forward as they both are laid to rest.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Eric, son Bruce, brother Billy Justice and sister Betty Rials.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Maldonado of Lubbock, daughter Glynis Laffler (Rick), Cascade, Colorado; grandchildren Daniel Edwards, Colorado, Zachary Edwards, Georgia, and Olivia Laffler, Colorado, grandson Nicholas Bradford (Christinia) California; great grandchildren Sophia, Beau, Kian and Gianna. There were four ver special girls in her life that brought joy, unconditional love and would just light up her world, Caydance Maldonado, Izzy Bontke, Sawyer Bontke and Zoey Moore, “Come on Ghandma let’s get up and dance”, she’s dancing in heaven right now. Gary and Sheryl McCarrol for always being there day or night stepping in wherever needed and lastly her three cats, Dakota, Gorgy Girl and Sammy who’s world is turned upside down missing her. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation for Carolyn will be held Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 19th St., Lubbock, Texas. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Anton Cemetery, Anton, TX.
