Annie “Maureen” Lindsey was born August 9, 1934, in Hunt County, near Lone Oak, TX to Elza Lee Jetton and Vennie Bearden Jetton. She died peacefully at home on November 4, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Lorene, a great-granddaughter Collins Ann Lindsey, and the love of her life, Raymond Lindsey, who she married on August 16, 1952, in Greenville, Texas.
Maureen was a retired Area Manager of Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and had been a resident of Lubbock County since 1955. She loved family gatherings, bluegrass music, southern-gospel music, and old-time hymns! She always had a song to sing or a poem to recite for any situation, many written by her or just made up as she went along!
Maureen was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her children and their spouses, Sandra Kubica (Don), Randall Lindsey (Karen), Janis Stalcup (Tom), Roger Lindsey (Amy), and Renee Wallace (Chris); 10 grandkids; 25 great-grandkids; and 4 great-great-grandkids!
Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, November 7th from 6pm – 8pm, and Celebration of Life Service, November 8th at 12:00 noon, with burial at Resthaven Memorial Park. Don Kubica and Lloyd Rose will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association, Inc., West Texas Chapter.
