Hazel was born on April 8, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio. She has lived in Clearlake for the past 35 years. Hazel retired at the age of 62 from 32 years of working in the food service industry.
Hazel was preceeded in death by her first husband, James Burr and is survived by her husband Derrel, her six children: Linda Cifeli, James Burr, Patricia Grahram, Faith Peterson, Johnny Burr and Nelson Burr. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Hazel was well loved by her husband and family. She was loved by many and could be counted on to help any way she could. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Clearlake, a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 2337, the American Legion and the Elks
Hazel enjoyed traveling, reading, ceramics, picnicking, garage sales, thrift stores and her family.
