Tamra R. "Tammy" Quain, 71, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024, in Loveland, CO surrounded by her friends and family. She was born on September 13, 1953, in Denver, CO to the late William N. and Vonda R. Quain.
Tammy's passion for caring for children turned into running a daycare for many years. Hundreds of children passed through her door, each she loved and considered her "babies." Tammy's bigger-than-life heart led her to adopt one of her daycare children, Selina who she vowed never to let go.
Tammy led a very happy, active life traveling and spending time with family and friends.
She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren. She loved Porter's baseball and never missed one. Her time with Kaitlyn, Payton and Paul was fun as they ate Chinese food and watched reality shows. Listening to Kelsey and Kynzie play the piano was special and she always looked forward to going to Charlee's dance recitals. Nothing brighten her day more than a heart-to-heart conversation with any of her grandchildren. Tammy was extremely proud to become a great-grandmother to Dru.
Tammy was dearly loved and is survived by her son, Thomas Heil (wife, Heather) of Gulf Shores, AL; daughters, Michelle McChesney (husband, Charles) of Highlands Ranch, CO and Selina Quain of Loveland, CO; grandchildren, Kynzie Wolf, Kelsey Gagen (husband, Matt), Kaitlyn Heil (fiance, Trae Barry), Payton Heil, Paul Heil, Charlee McChesney, Porter Heil, Ryann McChesney and Keegan McChesney; great-grandchildren, Dru Barry and Theo Rain McChesney; brothers, Randy Quain and Wes Quain both of Longmont, CO; sister, Caren Lindsey of Loveland, CO; her good friend, Cherie Teter and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service is tentatively set for 10:00 am Friday, August 1, 2025, at Allnutt Funeral Service, Hunter Chapel in Loveland, Colorado. A reception will follow.
Memorial contributions in Tammy's name can be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation or the Early Childhood Council of Larimer County helping families pay for childcare.
