Michele was born July 7, 1966 in Denver, Colorado to Russell Martinson and Karen (Schwindt) Martinson then was later adopted by Richard Zavodny. They later moved to Loveland where Michele graduated from Loveland High School in 1984. She went on to study accounting at Marathana Baptist Bible College (now Marathana Baptist University) and graduated in 1988.
Michele worked as a bookkeeper at many locations, including Mister Money Pawn Shop and ETI (Enterprise Technology Incorporated).
Michele was a proud and active member of Front Range Baptist Church for over 10 years. She loved to be involved with her community. She helped out frequently at Foundations Bookstore. Michele was lighthearted, selfless, caring, and generous with a good sense of humor, especially with her loved ones. She was always someone you can count on. Michele liked to spend time in the mountains and near waterfalls, and she also found joy in sandy beaches. Singing was one of her passions; her daughters remember hearing Home Free, Michele’s favorite artists, playing in the car whenever she would pick them up.
Survivors include her daughters, Kristina (Josiah) Gulstrom of Texas & Holly (Philip) Coon of Colorado; mother, Karen Zavodny of Colorado; brother, Brian Zavodny of Washington; and aunts, Barb (Phil) Smith of Colorado, Marlene (Matt) Bell of Colorado, & Myrna Schwindt of Colorado.
Michele is preceded in death by her sister, Jenny Lynn Ewing and Uncle Harold Schwindt.
A Memorial Service will be held August 14, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Front Range Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Front Range Baptist Church.
