Bill was a member of First Baptist of Mt. Washington and Salt River Masonic Lodge #180 in Shepherdsville.
He was also a former Military Policeman for the U.S. National Guard.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Nancy Epley Smith.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Minter Smith; sons, Jeffrey Smith (Tina) and Steven Smith; grandchildren, Nicole, Jeremy, Steven Jr., Gregory, and Stacy Smith; great-grandchild, Caydence Smith; and sisters, Dorothy Martin and Mary Minor.
Funeral service to honor the life of Bill will be noon on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy, with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation for the public will be from 2-8pm on Friday at the funeral home.
