Bill was born on April 18th, 1937 to the late William G. Ochsner, Sr. and Rose Loeser Ochsner. He is survived by his sisters Patricia A. Ochsner and Janet McElroy, first cousins Raymond Holderer and Tom (Rusty) Maier, and extended family Mark Ochsner and Kevin Holderer.
Bill graduated from St. Xavier in 1956. He was a veteran of the US Air Force supporting bombers squadrons at several bases within the United States during the cold war era in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. After returning to civilian life he was employed and retired from Dean’s Dairy. He was a well-known fixture in the Lyndon community, watching over and regularly visiting his neighbors and local businesses. His warm smile, blue eyes, good humor, and homegrown tomatoes will be sorely missed.
Visitation will be Thursday December 7, 2023 from 4pm-7pm at at Arch L. Heady & Son Westport Village 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville, KY 40222. Burial will take place at Resthaven Memorial Park on Friday December 8, 2023 at 10:00 am.
