William Robert "Bill" Freeman, Sr., 86, of Louisville, enterend into eternal peace on Tuesday, October 4, 2011. He was retired from the K & I RR with over 35 years of service as a general yard master, and was a WWII Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Fannie Simpson Freeman; children, Patricia, William Jr., Theresa, Frances, Becky and Wade; sister, Helen Kaiser; grandsons, Darrik and Red along with six other grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and his dog and best buddy Scoobie Doo.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum. A committal service will be held at the KY. Heritage Garden Pavilion with military honors at 2 p.m.
