Bill and Sharon live behind us and we cannot say enough kind things about Bill as he was one of the warmest, generous, and most thoughtful people we have ever known.  
Often he spoke of his love for his family and how he and Sharon lived on Clara Avenue many years ago.  Once he brought my little dog over to me as she loved to run over to his house. I so appreciated his making sure my little dog got back home safely.  He will be missed.  We were truly blessed to have known him.

It was a great honor to work with Bill and to have him consider me a friend. No teacher could ever be more dedicated, and no individual could ever be more selfless. I will miss him terribly, but I my life will never be without his influence, and for that, I am grateful.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. Bill was always such a good man and will truly be missed by everyone that knew him.

Bill was such a delight. While I did not get to see as much as we would have liked, he always had a smile and a handshake or pat on the back to acknowledge you. Such a wonderful man, he will be missed by many. The family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Crosby was my fifth grade teacher at Semple Elementary in the '66-67 school year, and was a wonderful teacher and an even better man. He inspired me to reach high and achieve, and I like to think he succeeded. May he rest in peace.

Bill was my brother in law for almost 49 years but was loved as much as if he was my brother.He loved his family dearly and all of us "extended"family and our children and grandchildren.We have many wonderful memories of family gatherings and he will be missed always.We love you-Joe and Teresa

I had Mr. Crosby in the 6th grade. We were in one of the portables outside. I thought that was kind of cool. He was a very good teacher. I had Mrs. Crosby for English. He made a difference at Semple. Prayers for your family.

I had never met Mr. Crosby, but worked for many years with his daughter, Karen at Seneca High School. I had also met his wife, Sharon on a number of occasions. God bless their family as they go through the difficult loss of their father and husband.

Uncle Bill was a kind, gentle soul. I have many fond memories of the conversations we had and the times we shared. I will forever hold them close to my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you Sharon, Elizabeth and Karen during this difficult time. We can take comfort knowing he is no longer suffering & can breathe with ease!

I knew Bill only through his active membership in the Friends group of the Fern Creek Library.  Even in this limited amount, I feel lucky to have known him.  He will be missed.

I had the privilege to work and learn from Bill at Jefferson Memorial Forest.  His way with kids was magic. I know there are children out there who lead better lives because of their time with Bill, and I know the environment certainly benefitted from the lessons he shared with all of us.  He was missed when he no longer was able to volunteer at the Forest, and id deeply missed now.

Uncle Bill was a huge blessing to Tony and I for so many years. He helped make Tony feel welcome when he came into the family and always was loving patient and full of fun and laughter. I will always remember his love of science and his smile and request for a kiss and hug when I saw him. Gone but definitely never forgotten. Love Jean and Tony

I was one of Mr. Crosby's students at Ellen C. Semple elementary during the early 1970s.  As the only male teacher at the school, he was a role model for a lot of young men at Semple.  My condolences to Mrs. Crosby and their daughters and grandchildren.

So sorry to hear of your loss.  I was glad i got to meet Bill he was a good man and will be missed.  Prayers for Sharon and Elizabeth and your family
