Mary and Sherry,

I just learned of Vernon's passing.  Please know that along with my sympathy come very happy memories on the Bellarmine ball field.  I am so grateful to have known him.  My memories are of Vern's contagious excitement and love for the game.  My thoughts and prayers are with you both in the coming months.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. Mr. Vernon Bibb was such an inspiration to my father and I. He taught me everything I know about pitching and we always enjoyed being around him. I am truly blessed to have met Mr. Bibb, he was such an amazing person.

My fondest memory is riding shotgun on the Bellarmine bus listening to the Oldies but Goodies and hearing many wonderful stories about his wife Sherry and his family.  I was a walk on and truly blessed to have had the opportunity to play fast pitch at Bellarmine. Although pitching was his passion he inspired some catchers along the way. His smile says it all.  So sorry I missed the service as I am just finding out-prayers to his family and friends.

Thinking of the Bibb family during this time.  It has been years since I have seen you all but I have some good memories of playing softball with Mary and being coached by Vernon back in the day on the all-star team and at Bellarmine.

Our prayers go out to Vernon's family. He was a very special friend.  We will miss his laughter and smile.  My pitchers & catchers loved him so much they always looked forward to lessons.

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. My daughter (Courtney Baker) was a pitching student/camp attendee for only 2 years. We will be forever grateful for his contribution to her softball career. She has learned so much from him. We will remember him always. RIP Vernon

Our condolences to Sherry and Vernon's Family.  He was such a joy to be around.  Always smiling and joking with everyone.  He has been such an inspiration to our daughter, Alexis True, with her pitching and over the years became a good friend and teacher to her.  He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.  You all are in our prayers and may God's mercy and grace be with you all during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of the passing of a former neighbor whom was always there for ya no matter what!! Miss all the times we had playing with everyone in the side yard!! May God be with you in this time!!

All though we have only know you 4 years you became part of my daughter (Tara) and I life words cannot say the lose we feel. You have help to make my daughter a better pitcher. You touched so many life's you will be missed our thoughts and prays for your family. Thank you.

I lost my buddy Friday! What a wonderful man. I will miss his smile and witty ways. Rest in peace buddy!

Vernon was a wonderful inspiration to our daughter, Jonna. She had only been working with him for three years and the progress was amazing. He was truly an amazing person, he will be sadly missed. Prayers to the Bibb family.

Our whole family loved Vernon.  Our deepest sympathy go out the family.  Vernon touch 1000s of lives.  Vernon taught pitching to all three of my daughters (Lewallens). I consider him a great friend.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Bibb Family.  It was such a great pleasure to play ball under Vernon.  I learned a whole lot.  He taught me everything I know n catching in Little League and at Bellarmine.  I had a pleasure in playing with Mary and hanging out with Sherry.  The world has suffered a great loss.  I will miss u.

Where do I start, no words can say how much you meant to my family!  We have trusted you with Jess and I have no doubt you will be watching over her from heaven!  You will always be her coach and her teacher, it's your gentle kindness that has helped molded her into the young lady she is today!  I can only speak for me when I say I will miss you somethin awful!  We will try to make you proud, love you!!

My daughters have took pitching lessons from Vern for several years. He taught them so much.He will be greatly missed.

Vernon was one of the most genuine people I have ever known. He has helped so many young ladies reach their dreams and goals. He is sorely missed. I am proud to have been able to know him as a coach and a friend!

I have attended Blue Chip Fastpitch Camp for 2 years. It has by far been one of my favorite camps. Vernon not only knew who I was, along with 400+ girls, but treated myself and the campers like his granddaughters. I hope this camp continues to run in memory of Vernon. It has definitely impacted me as an athlete and person in such a positive way. I always have and will recommend Blue Chip to young softball players who want to be seen and gain knowledge. Rest in peace Vernon! Thank you for all you have done for "your girls!"

Too my second family. Vernon will be missed greatly. All the nights I stayed all night with Butch, we where very close as kids. Your dad was a special person. We love you guys.

Prayers for the Bibb family and friends... Sorry for your loss

The 6th and 7th region Metro Softball Coaches Association send our condolences to the entire Bibb family.  Vernon will truly be missed and we wish you all peace in this difficult time.

All our love to the Bibb family. He was truly a blessing of encouragement, laughter, & joy. He will be missed greatly, but will live on through all of the lives he's touched.

Vernon has had great impact on the lives of so many young ladies. He didn't just teach the skills of softball, he instilled in them the confidence and the belief they could achieve whatever they were willing to work at - what a great motivator! No matter how many coaches our daughter had over the years, she always wanted to go back and 'touch base' with Vernon! I know your family has lost personally. We are so sorry. The very large softball community has lost someone very special too!

I remember all the days and nights down at the ball fields with coach Vernon teaching a young skinny kid how to hit a curve ball or just someone to talk to. Dear family, Vernon took on responsibility for my Sydney and Casey last October. Instantly, they looked up to him and took in every word. It would be nice to hear more of Vernon's advice, but it is his gentle and well meaning spirit we will miss most. Vernon called from the hospital one day when Caaey and I were outside practicing.
