He was born May 28, 1935, in Louisville, the son of the late Selby and Edith (Cartwright) Isbell. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita and Joyce.
Thomas was a graduate of Eastern High School and attended Florida State University. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in the "Hell on Wheels" Tank Battalion in Germany along with Elvis. He also owned and operated Isbell Apartments and Real Estate.
Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy Isbell; one son, Tommy Isbell (Whitney); two grandchildren, Ally Parker Ramper (Willie) and Taylor Isbell (Taylor); and one great-granddaughter, Parker Ramper.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00PM on Friday, February 24, 2023, in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village – 7410 Westport Road. Entombment will follow the service at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10AM-12PM, on Friday, at the funeral home.
