Sue was born on December 22, 1946 in Louisville, to the late Daniel E. Armstrong and Nora Lee Armstrong. She is a 1964 graduate of Presentation Academy, worked for Keenland and Churchill Downs for over 25 years and is a member of St. Edward Catholic Church.
Here to carry on her memory are her children: Jacqueline Sawyers (Doug), Christopher Scott Hipple, Kim Solomon (Joe), and Michelle Smith (Richard); 8 grandchildren: Joshua Weidner, Sarah Sawyers, William Hipple, Jessica Solomon, Ashley Solomon, Megan Solomon, Emily Smith and Lauren Smith; along with 2 great-grandchildren, Austin and Zoey.
The visitation will take place on Sunday, January 14th, from 1-8pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A funeral mass will take place at 10am on Monday, January 15th, at St. Edward Catholic Church, 9608 Sue Helen Dr.
