Aunt Jan,
There are so many things I'm going to miss and not enough time in the world to list them all. You had a strength about you that was inspiring and your faith was fierce. I was in such a dark place when I lost my baby girl and you taught me so much about living in grief with Grace. I know there was still so much more for me to learn from you. I'm going to miss our daily online chats.  It's so easy to be negative in today's world but you always had this way of being positive and seeing the good in things and people and that would spill over to others. It's not fair that you had to live your life on this Earth in so much pain when you were one of the most giving and selfless people. All of the kind words that people have to say of you and all of the tears that people cry for you, it is a testament to the kind, loving person you are.

Mom, I still can't believe you're gone! But I know without a doubt you are happy, pain free, and with everyone you have missed so much! You are the strongest person I've ever known, and I have always been in awe of it, and so very proud that you are my Mom! I loved that my friends actually wanted to hang out @ my house (most of the time lol). Luckily I have so many memories, but one of the most vivid was when me and David little and every Saturday after grocery shopping and the library, we would go to "Jiffy's", for the best corn dogs anywhere! I remember singing to the radio, usually mainstream rock n roll, but some oldies and country! The bands I remember most were Fleetwood Mac, ,Wings w/Paul  McCartney, The Beatles,, etc. I treasure those memories and the way they made me feel then and now! I hear one of those songs now and my thoughts go straight to you, the old gold duster, the 3of us with a corndog in our hands singing at the top of our lungs, and laughing so hard! So I only met Jan one time in person and we hugged like lifelong besties! She was so amazing and I loved reading her post on fb and chatting with her! I'm sad she's gone and I know her family is heartbroken and miss her dearly! I imagine she's dancing in heaven with Beau and her Love having a wonderful time feeling free and whole again! Love you jan, until we meet again!

I’ll always have the memories of our Sunday breakfast usually at Frisch big boy to start off the day and then we would go to Walmart and get your groceries and come back to do some cleaning around the house. Although these activities weren’t the most fun, it was 100% better because we got to do it with you. That was katie and yours thing and you were sweet enough to let me tag along. I remember one Sunday we did our normal routine and you were feeling good so you wanted to go to fransley-morman house because they were having an event. It was such a great time because I got to see you happy. Happy to be around people and you even got to shop around for a book and get some ice cream. Moments like that are what made you become my dodo too. Thank you for treating me as if I were your grandson from the start. I’ll always cherish our Sundays together.

So many memories, I grew up 3 houses down from Jan and her wonderful family. I remember Jan from the time i was 5 years old, going down and playing outside with Andrea and David. She was the sweetest lady. Her son Beu and my sister were inseperable when they were little. I will never forget Jan at 4th of July celebrations on our block sitting outside with all of us watching fireworks. When FB came a long i always enjoyed reading her memories of growing up in the country, or just her reminiscencing about our old neighborhood. When Jan wasn't feeling well it always hit my heart how positive she remained and her faith she had in the lord. Even though in pain she was always so grateful for her family and god giving her another day. She was one of the nicest people i have ever met. She will be missed by all. But i am so relieved she is pain free and she is united with her son and husband. She was a beautiful soul to never be forgotten.

Its not so much of a memory but how Aunt Jan could always make you smile or feel loved. You felt special in her presence and I am going to miss that and just to see her smile. She had one of the biggest hearts. I love you and will miss you. 

I have many memories w  Amy  from back when we were teenagers involving Jan…but we will fast forward to adulthood for now. 
I know I told the family all about this the other day but Jan was such an inspiration to many. My grandbaby has been fighting cancer as well and regardless of how bad she felt, she was always a cheerleader for my granddaughter. She was a truly beautiful individual who cared about everyone and seemed to always have a kind word to say.   This sticks out in my mind and although it’s fairly recent, shows what kind of woman she always was. ❤️  

Aunt Jan,
 I have MANY memories of you. I don't think I could pick a favorite singular one. All of them include two things though. Your smile and your laugh. I think these are what I hold most dear when I think about you. Your love came through strongly in both. And you had a deep love for EVERYTHING and EVERY ONE. I'll see you again, and when I do I want a detailed update of everything you've experienced until then. No one tells a story like you do. I love you more!

You were such an inspiring positive person. I will miss your encouraging words greatly. You were loved by so many and I will carry your kindness with me! Thank you for loving my kids. Thank you for Amanda. I am truly blessed to call her my friend. Fly high Mama Jan. 

So many but my top two are when she asked us what song Beau would have liked better at the funeral and the trolley ride we shared one year at the southwest festival with Amanda and Katie. I loved reading her posts and I can’t tell you how special she made me feel when she would check up on me. An angel among us for sure!! ♥️

Jan has always been so kind to our family. We grew up across the street and I have many memories of running in and out of the house. Many birthdays parties and the time she made me macaroni and cheese as a birthday gift (that's what I wanted). Life has changed so much since then. We grew up, moved away...life happened. I became a young Mom and Jan just LOVED my boys! She would always talk about how handsome and fast they are growing. If I was upset she would always share her words of wisdom. Even now I still see those comments in my "memory" posts. I'm going to miss hearing her jokes and the kind words she always gave me. R.I.P Jan, you are truly loved and missed by so many! ❤ 

Momma,
When I think of you so many memories rush into my mind. There are a few that stand out most amongst them all.  Suddenly I am in grade school again. I am racing Ashley down the big hill on our bikes with " stunts" like, "no hands, or with one leg".  You are power walking along with your head phones on listening to one of Neil Diamond's cassette tapes. Or how you would make sure that EVERY birthday we had our FAVORITE home cooked meal and cake of our choice. No matter how long of a day you had at work. Actually, every night we had a home cooked meal. Eating out was done maybe 3 times a year. 
    Taking long walks through West Point and along the Riverside. You singing "You are my sunshine", while gently running your fingertips through my hair and rocking me to sleep. Knowing I was far too grown for your lap. Teaching us kids about the simple pleasures in life. I hope to be as good of a mother to mine as you were to me. I promise to make more time in life to cherish the moments, take the trips and laugh as often as possible. I will breathe deeply for you momma.

I remember her rocking me as a young child when I wouldn’t feel well. She’d hum the same tune over and over to help ease my pain. I catch myself as a mother humming that same tune to my baby anytime he is hurt. She was the mother I have strived to be. She was my comfort at all times. I hope I can be the same for my son. 

I always wanted to make her proud of me. I’d work so hard and push myself even when I felt like I was falling apart to hopefully give her some sort of joy. I remember her telling me to not overdo it. She’d say, “Please remember to take time for your family. That’s my only regret; that I let work dictate when I could make memories with you kids. Don’t do that to yourself.” Mom, I’ll try to do as you asked. I hope you know just how proud of you we all were. I know you felt like you had regrets with not always being able to be with us, but you instilled a strong work ethic and pride in all of us. You taught me to always work hard for my dreams and to not let anyone tell me I can’t do something. 

I will forever be grateful for the life she lived and I am forever thankful to have such a beautiful soul for a mother. I am very sad to let her go; she and I both knew that I could never contain my emotions when we’d speak about her one day leaving this earth. I’m selfish because I always wanted to keep my mom with me forever. She’s too perfect to let go.

I hope I can make you proud, momma.

I met Jan on Facebook in Feb 2021.  I just know her daughter Amanda because she use to do my hair. Jan and I would send messages back and forth and discovered we had a few things in common. Each day I would look forward to her comments. I will keep the whole family in my prayers.

I am so sorry for the family's loss of such a beautiful lady. Jan was always kind hearted and caring. She always kept up with me and my kids and made me feel welcome in her home, even sharing dinner on several occasions. I will always remember swimming in the pool in the back yard and her beloved cats. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. I will miss her Facebook texts and updates. I know she is resting in peace and happy she is no longer in pain. Till we meet again.

Jan,  you were a comforting support to me in my deepest moments of grief,  childloss.   I will always be grateful for your compassionate soul,  God Bless You. Many prayers for peace and comfort through the sorrow for your family and friends.  You are home,  with your Son and Husband,  I know you are dancing in the sky.  

My favorite memory of my grandma is all of the weekends I spent over her house, making steak, mashed potatoes, & corn for dinner and then is falling asleep together on the couch watching jeopardy. She would let me sleep in on Sunday morning until noon. She would wake me up with pancakes, bacon, and eggs and then we would both get ready so I could help her with her grocery shopping. 

When it comes to memories, there is just far too many to share just one. She will be dearly missed and forever loved by many!
