Shirley “Pat” Ann Mitchell, 81, of Mt. Washington KY passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 with her family by her side. She was retired form J. V. Reed & Co. and a member of Mt. Washington United Methodist Church. Pat’s children wanted everyone to know that she was a very loving single Mother that always worked so hard and made them so proud. She was preceded in death by her husband; John P. Mitchell, mother; Anna Perkins and a brother Charles F. McKnight. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Neel Powers(Anita), Steve Powers, Charles “Dutch” Powers(Denise), Veneda Dalton, Timmy Powers, and Becky Shuck, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild on the way, and a host of many other family members and friends. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Pat will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 10am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son FH, 8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, KY 40219, with entombment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitaion will be Tuesday from 2pm-8pm at the funeral home.
