Shawn Gregory Powers

Shawn graduated from Jeffersontown High School University of Louisville. He was a General Manager for the O'Mallys Corner Group for 17 years. He had a passion for home remodeling and flipping homes. Shawn was an avid University of Louisville fan along with being a great tennis player and golfer.

Shawn had a very strong heart which made him very family oriented. He had a great sense of humor and was talented in many ways.

Shawn is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Irene Grasch; and paternal grandparents, Murlin and Juanita Powers.

Shawn is survived by his parents, Betty Carpenter and Russ Powers; sister, Shannon Railey (William); nephews and niece, Joey Clements, Catie Clements, and Stephen Railey; aunts and uncles, Jerry Grasch (Linda), Cathy Grasch-Evans (Wade), George Powers, Barbara Powers, and Terry Powers; multiple cousins; many many friends; and beloved dog, Janie.

A funeral service to honor the life of Shawn will be 10am on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Evergreen Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2-8pm on Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
