Robert William Ratliff

He was a former lead dock worker and yard hossler for the old Watkins Motor Lines. He and his wife volunteered at the American Legion 220. Rob was an avid fisherman, played cornhole, pinochle and poker. He was a big NASCAR fan.

Mr. Ratliff was preceded in rest by his mother, Geraldine McIntosh; a brother, Jody "Jo-Jo" Ratliff; a sister, Diane Church; his step-mother, Elizabeth Ratliff and his in-laws, Wilma and Frank Bewley.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Rhonda; a daughter, Jessica Mayes (Michael); three sons, Timothy Ratliff (Tina), Mark Ratliff (Kyrissa) and Joshua Allen; two grandchildren, his father, Robert M. Ratliff; two brothers, Jason Ratliff (Marie Hale) and Donald Smith (Melissa); a sister, Dottie Mudd; a brother-in-law, Lynn Bewley; and sister-in-law, Deborah Evans (Daniel).

His funeral will be on Wednesday at 1pm at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with interment following in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday and Tuesday from 1pm to 8pm
