Robert Miller Mudd Sr., 86, of Louisville passed away March 19, 2014 at Robley Rex VA Medical Center. He was born October 22, 1927 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a Navy WWII veteran who earned a Purple Heart in the Pacific War. He also served as a medic in the Korean War. He was an avid golfer, member of Pleasure Manor and Wildwood Country Clubs, and a devoted husband to Mary Lou for 61 years.
He is survived by 2 sons, Robert Mudd Jr. (Kathy) and Steven M. Mudd (Ana Cristina), 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, a sister, Ann and a brother Joseph.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Mudd, 3 brothers, Francis Eugene, Roy and James.
Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, March 24, 2014 at 12:00pm in Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road with a private entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm.
