Bob was a very good friend. I miss him every single day!

Hi I met Bob and Danny at there shop I’m a artist as well and you talk about inspiration oh my talented individuals,  gosh so sorry for the loss of such a fine man. He will not be forgotten, one of the best artists I have ever met. I just wanted to let you know there will be no other but Danny leaned from the best.

I can’t believe it’s been a year since Bob went to Heaven.  I keep JoAnn and his precious family in my prayers.  Asking God to watch over each one of them 🙏.   

My deepest heartfelt sympathy to Bob’s family & friends. I didn’t know Bob well, but I was blessed to have crossed paths with him a few times in our life. He pinstriped a few of my vehicles over the years & as always he did a great job. I took a lot of pride in having my rides pinstriped by “Taylor”. Best of all, I have one of his autographed biography books. Every time I pick it up to read a few pages, I feel like I’m listening to Bob talk.
May God continue to bless Bob & his family. You will indeed be missed on this earth.

What a legendary inspiration to us all.. Bob Taylor truly set the standard in auto-personalization, concept of color, and standard of quality, not just in our city of Louisville KY, but throughout the united States and beyond, his name is and always will be synonymous with car enthusiasts and autopainters, and we were lucky to have known him. I met Bob back in the early 60's and we became friends, I always enjoyed stopping by his shop just for a short chat, as he was always busy doing the fantastic beautiful work that he was born to do. He did several vehicles for me over the years. I did the "Cruisin for the Crusade" car show for the past Twenty one years and Bob always never failed to donate his fine art to the event to be auctioned for the Crusade.
Bob was a great friend and will be missed by many. Rest in peace my friend.

   Bob and Joann have been loved, admired and highly respected by myself and our entire show team since the 1960's.  We were extremely blessed and honored to have shared so many wonderful and happy memories with Bob  throughout the 25 years he served as our show director.
   He was an inspirational treasure who touched and enriched all of our lives.   Bob was a highly talented painter and pinstriper who will be sincerely missed but never forgotten.

I knew Bob and JoAnn at church for many years.  I rejoiced with his family when he accepted Jesus as his Savior and was baptized.  He always called me "kidd" when I would see him although I knew he was not a lot older than I am.   I'm keeping his PRECIOUS family in my thoughts and prayers.  RIP Bob.

My Uncle Robert....my mother's little brother who she loved dearly.  Robert and Joann have always had a special place in my heart.  Two weeks ago, he turned 80 and we surprised him by taking him to dinner.  My brother, Buddy and cousin Jerry added to the surprise by meeting us there, and it made his day.  Don't put off tomorrow what you can do today....2 weeks later, he passed.  We are thankful and blessed we had that evening with him.  Rest in peace, Robert!  We will see you on the other side!

I don’t know how many vehicles that Bob done for me.  The first was a 1979 Jeep CJ7.  He shared the garage on Crittenden  Dr.  The last one before he retired was another Jeep in his garage at home.  I not only enjoyed his work and art but the conversation too.  Wanted him to stripe another but he had retired.  Gave me Danny’s number.  You could tell he was proud of his son.   I read his book and his story was remarkable.  May God bless the family and friends during this time.

May he forever paint and stripe the Golden Chariots of Heaven. Rest Easy Bob Taylor for you will be missed by all of the Hotrodders and car guys

My dad passed away when I was little. Bob was my uncle when my dad passed away Bob was looking out for me I can remember going to shop going the coke out of the cooler he is yell my name Little Dave get I got a job for you he want me to clean these car up for Carl Caspar car show it was the general Lee the A-team van and the night rider car.

It is not mentioned here, but my Dad, James Michael Taylor is  a full Brother to our Uncle Robert.          

Bob was one of a kind, as a young teen I used to watch him paint on cars when he lived on Huron St.  I bought a new Corvette in 77 and before I got it home I stopped by Bob's shop and he put Chevy #1 signs on each door. I still have the car and memories of my friend. R.I.P. Brother.

I first learned of Bob Taylor after having moved to Southern Indiana in 2006.  Bob has always been extremely gracious and has pinstriped six Cadillacs and one Corvette for me.  Watching Bob work was like poetry in motion.  It is with great sadness that Bob has left this earth, but now he's enjoying the graciousness of heaven.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to the Taylor family. You all are in my prayers.

Bob did my first car a 66 chevelle when I was 17. He and Danny  has done several others throughout the years. I worked at Trading Post Mobile Homes and they had all their trucks lettered and striped by Bob. I had a 79 shovelhead harley I was trying to put in Carl Caspers show and Bob made sure I got in.  Very talented and Great guy, will be missed by many.
