Becky was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 26, 1961. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy J. Rothgerber and father, Edward H. Rothgerber Jr. She is survived by her sister, Cindy Watson (Jack); her children, Nicholas Bean (Kelsey) and Norman Bean and a granddaughter, Brooklyn Bean.
Becky was an employee of Kroger for the last 10 years. She loved her job, customers and just being around people. She also enjoyed watching Downton Abbey and Jeopardy!
Becky’s early life was filled music. She spoke of the time her father came home with a box of albums, which started her on her musical journey. She could easily debate whether Humble Pie was better with or without Peter Frampton.
In later life, Becky began a different journey. The journey to Jesus Christ, Our Savior. She became fascinated with everything spiritual. At first it was the Bible, then came spiritual books. She was truly transformed in the presence of God.
Becky found a second family and fellowship at Lyndon Christian Church. She enjoyed dinners at church, church in the park and the Tuesday night Ladies Group. She especially enjoyed going out to eat at the Goose Creek Diner with the ladies from church. Her friends from church were a great source of support during her life and as she made the journey home to be with Our Lord. Her friend Jane was especially a blessing to Becky and her sister.
Today, as we mourn the loss of Becky Bean it is comforting to know that she is still listening to music. Her new favorite song is “Heaven’s Now My Home” by Libby Allen, except now it’s sung by the angels.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 19th from 2-7pm and funeral services will be Saturday, August 20th at 10am at Heady-Cralle Funeral Home on Frankfort Avenue with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery on Newburg Rd.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus Health Louisville or Lyndon Christian Church.
