She was born June 23, 1937 in Happy, KY, the daughter of the late Albert Lee and Evilee (Combs) Cole. She was also preceded in death by a brother.
Phyllis was a member of Westport Road Church of Christ and the 55 Speeders Group. Her sassiness and quick wit will be missed by many.
Survivors include her cousins, Patricia Cole, Carol Gass (Wayne), David Hogsten (Jean), Sherri Duvall (Steve) and Steve Combs; close friends and neighbors, Ruth Ann and Paul Fetter and Robert Silverthorn Jr. (Rusti). Many thanks to the staff at Atria St. Matthews and extended family known as the “Berea Bunch”.
Visitation will be held from 12:30pm-1:30pm on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville, KY 40222. A graveside service and burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Combs Family Cemetery in Berea, Kentucky.
