Pamela Guelda

Unconditionally loving wife, mother, nanna, sister, and friend, Pamela “Pam” Walters Guelda passed away peacefully at home on November 4, 2023 at the age of 69 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Pam was born to William and Elva Walters on October 28, 1954. She was the third youngest of four children. After graduating from Western High School, Pam began to chase her dreams and met her husband, Thomas Douglas Guelda. Together, they had two children: Sara and Emily.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Pam. She courageously supported and devoted her time to the special needs community. She loved hiking, road trips to the beach, and enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. Pam filled her home with the love of music, laughter, and her compassion for others.

Pam’s bright and candid personality was contagious to everyone she met. Pam is survived by her husband, Doug; daughters, Sara and Emily; sisters, Donna and Sue; brother; Mark, and grandchildren Norah and Chloe.

Funeral service will be held at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home on November 8, 2023 at 1pm with Rev. Mary Susan Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, Louisville, KY. Visitations will be held at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home on November 7, 2023 3-8pm.
