Cotton sorry for the loss of your son. I just found out. Will being praying for you and your family

I am deeply saddened and shocked to have learned of Nathan's passing.  I can't imagine the pain and sorry you are experiencing. Your family is in our prayers and thoughts.

I never had the chance to know you, but my boyfriend Zach Durden knew you well all through middle and high school. He was deeply saddened to hear of your passing and felt awful that he had not come around more often in recent times. God bless you and your family, we are both truly sorry for your loss.

I only met you a couple of times, but what an impact you made on my son Brian who is devastated by your passing. You are safe in the arms of Jesus and my prayers go out to your family.

Nathan, I have no idea where to start. We grew up together, we annoyed each other, we made each other laugh, we were like siblings. You were one of the happiest guys I've ever had the pleasure of being close to. You were always smiling or cracking up about something, and you wouldn't give up until everyone else had no choice but to join in. We called each other every day, and really, every night as well. You always told me, Stephen, and Sarah how much you loved us. We loved you too. We'll never stop loving you. I miss the silly times we all shared together. Going camping, eating Chinese on Preston Highway, swimming during the summer, dressing up for Halloween, your obsession with the all of the Bathroom Readers, and watching you pretend to be Richard Simmons. I wish we would have stayed that close all the way through. I wish I could talk to you one more time, hug you one last time. I miss you. Every time I look out at the sky at night, I'll be thinking of you and the day we'll finally be able to laugh and smile together and pick on each other again, just like when we were kids. I love you, Nathan. Keep an eye on us from up there.

Nathan and I dated for 4 years and just recently moved in together. He was my best friend. I saw him struggle, I saw him succeed. He taught me how to laugh, he taught me how to smile, more importantly he taught me how to love. He was so full of love, and life. He would do anything to make another smile. He always encouraged me when I felt like giving up. His physical body may be gone, but his spirit forever remains in my heart. I will love him and treasure him for the rest of my days. He no longer is in pain and suffering. He used to always say, "I love you bunches and bunches of captain crunches"... and that's the truth. He loved me till he took his very last breath.

I will remember all the good times Nicholas and Christopher had with Nathan at your house swimming when they were little boys.  Nicholas and Nathan were born the same year and there is no way I can understand what you must be feeling. He is at peace now. We are so sorry and hope that you hold the good memories of Nathan close to your heart so that he will live on there and never be truly gone. We will pray for your family and we love you.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Oh Nathan I wish your Aunt Becky could be there with you. You will be at peace now in Heaven with our Lord and Jesus Christ. I know you have suffered so here on this earth, but no more. Phyllis and Cotton I pray everyday that peace will come to the both of you but you have gone through so much. We won't be on this earth but a short time and then we will be with our loved ones who have gone before us. I cannot express the sorrow I feel for you both losing so much. We love you.

I don't have the right words to express how I feel right now. I have a son and I cannot imagine the deep hurt you are feeling now. May God comfort and bless you through this time.
