Mary Faye (Woodrum) Miller passed away on January 13, 2011 at the Golden Living Nursing Facility in St. Matthews, Kentucky. She was the former Mary Faye Flowers of Albany, Kentucky. She was born on July 16, 1921, the daughter of Columbus & Martha Jane (Wells) Flowers. She was married to the late William Nathan Woodrum from Adair County, Kentucky. They have three daughters: Ruth Ann Wagner (Bud), of Louisville; Martha Faye Miller (Lew), of Richmond, Virginia; and Sarah Margaret Willoughby (Joe), of Mason, Ohio. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and three great-grandsons: Edward Andrew “Drew” Wagner (Dana); Lydia Roxanne McVay (Stan); David Bell Wagner; Rebecca Ellen Pierce (Matt); Rachael Addison Miller; Joshua Nathan Willoughby; Jacob Joseph Willoughby; William Edward Wagner; Nathan Andrew Wagner; & Luke Heston Wagner.
In 2004, she married Dr. Victor J. Miller of Chandler, Arizona. She was the step-mother to Barbara Miller, of Tempe, Arizona and Brian Miller, of Japan.
She taught in a one room school house in Clinton County, Kentucky, and also in Jefferson County. She later became a Social Worker with the Kentucky Department for Human Resources. She retired from Social Work in 1968. She and her late husband were members of Woodland Baptist Church, in Middletown, Kentucky. She was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the John Marshall Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of the John Combs Chapter of the Colonial Dames.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday from 12NOON until the time of service at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home at Westport Road. The funeral will be held 2p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Arch L. Heady Funeral Home at Westport Road. A graveside service will be held at Middletown Historic Cemetery.
