Mary Ann Hall - loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, faithful friend, and impassioned educator taught her final lesson in life on February 29, 2024 at the age of 74. Mary lost her battle with cancer on her terms with her two greatest loves, Lorrie and Rob,at her side.
Mary was an extraordinary woman and those who knew her, knew her greatness. She would never see herself as exceptional, but her family, friends, and a multitude of students can attest that she was. She genuinely sought to bring out the best in all she touched. She never took pride in her success but was always prideful of seeing her students and family succeed. She truly was a beautiful soul.
Mary was born an educator. She taught in the Catholic community for over 50 years with her longest term held with Trinity High school. If she wasn’t at home with family or watching her Fox News, you could find her at Trinity. Her main calling in life was to help those with learning differences succeed and countless did with her magic touch.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret (Kahafer) and Reese Hall, and her siblings Vickie and John Hall. She is survived by her daughter Lorrie (Joe) Salcedo, son Robert (Michelle) Staley, grandchildren Brittany (Ray) Stovall, Brandon (Taylor) Clark, Medley and Jasper Staley, Gabe and Julius Salcedo, and great-granddaughter River Clark, her sisters Sandy (Gary) Ramey and Jennifer (Mike) McCleve, brother Reese (Theresa) Hall, her Trinity family, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 7410 Westport Road, Louisville, KY 40222. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
