Louis F., “Louie” Mattingly Sr., 78, of Louisville passed from this life on Wednesday June 24, 2015. A native of McQuady, KY he was the former owner of Louie’s Cleaners and the Rockford Apartments, and a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the men’s club, a KY Colonel, and was a DeSales Athletic Association board member. He was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Mattingly. He is survived by his wife of 55 years the former Angela Wheatley; a daughter, Kathy James (David); sons, Louis Mattingly, Jr., (Donna), and Bob Mattingly (Lisa); brothers, Bill (Doris), Allen (Sylvia), and Leonard Mattingly (Martha); a sister, Linda Mattingly; and 7 grandchildren. A mass of celebration for Louie will be held at 10 am Saturday at Most Blessed Sacrament, 3509 Taylor Blvd. with interment to follow in St. Andrew Cemetery.
