She was born in Willisburg, Kentucky on February 12, 1946 to parents, Clarence Kays & Jane Pence. Linda attended Manual High School, graduating in the Class of 1964. She then went on to attend Lee University, Class of 1968, earning a Bachelor’s Degree and then obtaining a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Kentucky. Linda taught for the Jefferson County School System for over 25 years at Butler & Doss High Schools. She was a member of New Life Church. With a passion for traveling, Linda saw many parts of the world on cruises and excursions seeing and touring places such as the Caribbean, Greece, Rome, Italy and the Greek Islands among others. Linda also had a passion for gardening, her favorite flowers being Yellow Roses and Purple Waves. Above all her number one passion was her grandchildren, whom she adored.
Her parents, Clarence Kays & Jane Pence, precede Linda in death.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Michael McNabb; son, Christopher (Sarah) Huffaker; grandchildren, Aaron Huffaker, Lyla Huffaker; brothers & sisters; Joseph (Jeanie) Kays, James (Judy) Kays, Daniel (Karen) Kays, Marion (Wright) Clarence and Beverly (Terry) Bledsoe; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Per Linda’s wishes cremation was chosen.
Memorial Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 in the Dignity Chapel of the Evergreen Funeral Home, inurnment will follow in the Garden of Angels Columbarium of the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. also at the Evergreen Funeral Home.
In lieu of customary expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to Living Water Teaching, Caddo Mills, Texas; her church or any charity of your choice.
