Linda Lou Kumar

Linda Lou Barr Kumar, 66, passed away May 12, 2023 at Albert B Chandler Hospital in Lexington, KY where she had gone for testing accompanied by her sister, Patty. She was born at St. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, KY to Norman Barr and Margaret Lucille Archibald. She graduated from DuPont Manual High School in 1975 and went into the nursing field where she worked until she was forced to retire due to autoimmune problems at the beginning of COVID, most of the time she worked with Kindred Hospital, Louisville, KY.

Linda is survived by her husband, Parveen Kumar, her son, Kenneth Slone and her loving grandchildren, Kenneth Jr, Dennis. Erica, Marissa and Shelby Turner and one great granddaughter, Trina Michelle. Her brothers, David (Yumiko)Barr of Virginia, Roy Barr of California, Greg Barr of Arkansas and her sisters, Diana Dass of Indianapolis, Brenda (Harold) Dotson of Tennessee, Patty (Alec) Clarkson of Lexington and Mary (Danny)Williams of Florida.

Visitation for Linda will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 11 AM until 2 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home (4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218).

Funeral service will be at 2 PM following the visitation.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park at 3 PM on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
