

He was born on August 10, 1939. Larry was a devoted family man, deeply cherished by all who knew him, and he will be remembered for his unfailing positivity and contagious smile.
Larry graduated with the class of 1957 from Flaget High School and went on to further his education at the University of Miami and University of Louisville. His commitment to service was shown through his time in the Air Force, where he served for four and a half years with honor. Following his military service, Larry joined Phillip Morris, where he dedicated 30 years of his career.
Larry Waller married his loving wife, Carol, and together they built a life filled with happiness over 57 years. The proud father of Stephanie Doutrick (Chuck), Stacy Britain (Robby), and Shanna Winship (Joel), he was also a loving grandfather to Jalen (Brenden), Jenna, Jansen, Nathan, Cayten, Samantha, and Alexa, whose achievements and joys were his utmost pride. Each of Larry's family members benefited from his unwavering support and love.
An enthusiast for life's simple pleasures, Larry found delight in playing softball, golf, cards, pool, and enjoying the beach. He had a love for the thrill of horse racing and was a familiar face at many sporting events, particularly watching volleyball or cheering on his grandchildren. As a softball coach at Highview, he made lasting impressions on so many. Larry truly never met a stranger, and his wide circle of friends grew because of his kindness.
Larry is preceded in passing by his parents, Zamal and Helen Waller, and leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and friendship. He will be deeply missed but not forgotten.
A visitation for Lawrence will be held Monday, March 31, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St Athanasius Church, 5915 Outer Loop, Louisville, Kentucky 40219.
