He was a founding member of the Louisville Street Rod Association, a member of NSRA, and was very active with AFSP. Larry was a loving husband, Dad, and Grandpa; he will be missed by all.
Larry is preceded in death by his grandson, Tyler Gowers; brothers, George and Jerrell Wimsatt.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Patricia Wimsatt; their children, Shawna Greene (Nick) and Tonya Leonard (Adam); grandchildren, Adam Coke and Kyle Greene; brother, Marion Wimsatt, and in-laws, Sherrill Wimsatt, Alton and Judy Woodward. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Larry's life will be conducted on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 12 noon in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. the day of the funeral.
