He was born at home in Irvine, Ky. Mr. Marcum was a retired chemical operator for B.F. Goodrich and a member of Dixie Valley Church of God. Besides enjoying hunting and fishing, he had participated on the bowling league at B.F. Goodrich and was worked in wood and cabinetry.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Catherine Darlene Marcum; a son, Larry E. Marcum, Jr.; three daughters, Michelle Marcum (Kenny Mullins), Evonne Anderson (Craig Ferguson) and April Slocum; four grandchildren, Ashley, Andrew, Amber and Rachel; and four great-grandchildren, Aubree, Kolton, Raphael and Frankie; a sister, Sue Coulter (Jimmy); and a nephew, Jason Coulter (Tara)
His funeral will be on Tuesday, November 21st, at 1:30pm at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with interment following in Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 2pm until 8pm.
