Larry Allen Drake

Drake, Larry Allen 74, passed away Thursday October 20, 2016. Larry proudly served his country in the Air Force for four years then went on to retire from the Army Reserves after 30years. He was a faithful member of Parkland Baptist Church and volunteered with Project Healing Waters. Larry was also a member of the N.R.A. He was preceded in death by his first wife Joyce Drake. Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Anna “Midge” Drake, son Jonathan Drake (Krista), granddaughters Caroline and Charlotte Drake and siblings Kay Williams (David), Lewis Meyers, Mike Meyers, Joey Meyers and Karen Lawson (Jim). A service to honor the life of Larry will be held Tuesday at 1pm at Parkland Baptist Church 7206 Shepherdsville Rd Louisville KY 40219 with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Monday from 3-8pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Rd Louisville KY 40218. In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to Project Healing Waters Louisville Program, projecthealingwaters.org.
