Julie Anne Thompson Fithian passed peacefully to a better life on February 6, 2020 at the age of 48 years. She was born on April 16, 1971 in Wiesbaden, West Germany. She attended Mother of Good Counsel, Sacred Heart Academy, Murray State University, the University of Kentucky, and the University of Louisville. She enjoyed cheerleading at MGC, Sacred Heart, Trinity High School, and Murray State University. Julie was an athlete, artist, singer, dancer, and a friend to all. She never knew what a beautiful person she was. She married and had four beautiful children she adored. She loved working with children and taught in the preschool at St. John’s United Methodist Church where she was a member and had many friends. At MSU she was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. She is survived by her mother and stepfather Mike Hogan (whom she adored) as well as Ruby her fur sister; her children Avery, Kyle, Jackson, and Kendall Fithian; her stepbrother Doug (Ronda) and their children Luke, Cole, and Tessa; her stepsister Lynn Long (Jay) and their children Will, Lucy, and Olivia; her uncle Daniel Newett; Her former husband Craig Fithian (Kim); her father Mike Thompson (Beverly) and their children David and Chris; and so many special friends including Caroline and Gina in particular. She suffered greatly with multiple medical issues in past years and is finally at rest and pain free.
She will be buried at Cave Hill Cemetery in the Hogan Plot. There will be no visitation at the present time and burial will be private with family. There will be a memorial at a later date. Please remember her as a sweet and beautiful soul who loved her children.
