Juanita Wilson Sparks, 89, formerly of Louisville, passed away peacefully on February 4,2011, in Thomasville, GA. She was born on September 7, 1921 in Decatur County, GA; and was the daughter of the late Perry J. and Dolly Alday Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband and soulmate, Charles R. Sparks, on April 7, 2000.
Juanita and her husband Charles had owned and operated Sparks Provision Company in Brooks, KY for many years.
She is survived by two sisters, Jewell (Sam) Knight of Mineral Wells, TX, and Sybil (Norman) Sawyer of Brinson, GA; brother, Larry (Lois) Wilson of Albany, GA; and her sisters-in-law, Helen C. Sparks and Juanita Borders Sparks. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who treasured and loved her deeply.
A Celebration of Life service for Juanita will be on Friday, February 11, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be prior to the service starting at noon at the funeral home.
