He was An Army veteran and a member of the Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. John was also a gardener and loved woodworking.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Helen O’Leary; granddaughter, Samantha Jo Cox; and brother, Thomas O’Leary.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Barbara O’Leary; children, Colleen O’Leary, Kathleen Davidson (Randy), Patty Blanton (Darrell), Maureen Turk, Timothy O’Leary (Carol), Michael O’Leary (Kimberly); grandchildren, Jonathan, Katrina, Dillon, Dannie, Austin, Megan, Mackenzie, Kevin, Michaela, Thomas, Rachael, Samantha, Matthew, Robert.
John also leaves one great-grandchild Maverick; many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
A funeral for John will be held at Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic on Wednesday at 11:00am with burial to follow at Highland Memory cemetery. Visitation will be at Advantage Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
