Maupin, Joan L. Cowles, 68, passed away May 24, 2018. She loved cats and enjoyed coloring.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Dorothy Cowles; son-in-law, Don Peek; and father-in-law, Bobby Maupin.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 50 years, Dennis Maupin; her children, Lisa Lawrence, Ginny Weatherford (Joe), and Denis Peek; grandchildren, Christina Swift (Carlton), Brittney Mercer, Kenny Lawrence Lee, Tyler, Samantha Daugherty (Chad), Reanell Henderson (Kelton), and Angela Peek.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 2 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel. Visitation will be Monday from 12 pm-8 pm at the funeral home.
