Jenny had the most tender heart and was a champion for the underdog. She had such a beautiful, genuine smile and made sure to share it with everyone she met. If it could be painted, sewn, baked, hemmed, refinished, or wall-papered, she knew how to do it and do it well. We counted on her for her dumplings at Thanksgiving and her kindness and compassion throughout our lives.
She will be truly missed by her two sons, Kevin and Daniel Krauth. Lora Krauth, Bradley (Shelby) Basham, and her grandchildren (Bailey, Scarlet, Barrett and Matthew). She’s survived by many nieces and nephews along with her siblings, Vivian Newsome, Robbin Chapman (Bill), Renee’ Moore, George M Knoop, and Amy (Dewey) Edwards. She had many dear friends that will cherish her memory, most importantly her longest love Moe Krauth.
Jenny was a proud graduate of Valley High School – class of 1980. She was a hard worker from an early age and may have had her father help her “correct” her birth certificate to apply for her first real job when she was 15 (16 yr. requirement) at the Cow Palace. She made many friends along the way. Ultimately, she spent the last 35+ years working at VG Reed & Sons. A family-owned company that truly did make her feel like family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, George and Donna Knoop. We take solace in the belief that they are all together again and can feel their love for each other once more.
A funeral service will be held Friday, October, 11, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Advantage Funeral Home - Hardy Chapel, 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY with visitation before and after from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
