Janet Lillian Simon, 85, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017. She was born to the late Charles and Matilda Flierhaar. Janet was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church and was retired from Rite-Aid-Taylor Drugs where she was a Pharmaceutical Technician. Her husband of over 28 years, Carl Ray Simon, brother, John Flierhaar, and best friend, Doris Stivers, preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Paul Simon(Kathy), Carol Herdt(Mark), Charlotte Johnson(Paul), Philip Simon(Tammy), John David(Robbie), Joey Simon(Missy), Julie Hernandez(Victor), sixteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Special thanks to Janet’s granddaughter Tracy Gallagher for the loving care she extended to her grandmother, also to Alex Adams and Donnie Hayes for all their loving care. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:30am at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop, Louisville, KY 40219 with burial at St. John Evangelist Church Cemetery in Edmonson County.
