Helen Francis Probus

Helen F. Probus, 75, of Louisville was called home on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. She was a talented, artistic and beloved Angel of our family. Helen was co-owner/operator of Markwell’s Pic-Pacs for many years and later a bookkeeper for Kmart.

Helen is preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Gritton and her son, Michael Markwell.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 29 years, Robert “Bob” Probus, children; David Markwell (Donna), Susan Shaw (Warren), Paul Markwell (Shari), Cindy Atwood (Keith), Sheri Boyer, Jeanne Markwell and Cindy Marquel, step children, Rob Probus and Kimberly Probus Clark (David), along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, two brothers, Jim Jeffries (Tammy) and Leonard Jeffries (Kim), two sisters, Donna Markwell (Joe) and Diane Caudill (Don) and her father, Paul Gritton.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2pm, Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Rd, with a private interment in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11am until the time of service at 2pm.
