Helen Joyce Helm

She was preceded in death by her husband: Griswald Helm & her son: Donnie Earl Eagle.

Helen was described by her daughter as the woman of Proverbs 31, “Blessed.” Many who knew her would say that she was a bright light and touched so many throughout her 86 years on this earth. Helen was a classy lady, glamorous, a woman of strength, grace, and forgiveness. Friends and family gathered for her great food and contagious personality. This lady we call blessed finished out her days of influence at Wesley Manor Retirement Community with her companion, Mascot Shih Tzu, “Tish”. She touched so many lives with her beautiful smile and her sincere, caring words. Mother, grandmother, “Gran”, aunt, and friend, we pay tribute to you by honoring your death with the scripture that reads, “her children will rise up and call her ‘blessed.” Thank you for your love.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Dennis Eagle (Denise), Michael Eagle (Missy), Terry Eagle, Victoria Wildt (Gary); grandchildren: Becky (Todd), David (Crystal), Sonny (Julie), Michael II (Angie), Donny (Stacey), Eddie (Jen), Johnny (Stephanie), Robby, John (Lindsey), Luke, Daniel, Joseph, Brittany (Steven), 19 great-grandchildren, and her beloved “Tish.”

Funeral services will be held Saturday June 10th, 2017 at 10am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. Interment will follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3-8pm at the funeral home.
