Grace Lee Short, 86, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, January 8, 2024. Grace retired from Kmart. She enjoyed working in her yard and volunteering with prison ministries and many facets of The Lord’s Kitchen. Arts and crafts were her passion and she loved making cookies and candies during the holidays.
Grace was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Short; daughter, Brenda Craig; grandson, William J. O’Daniel; her parents; siblings, Helen Stephens, Vernon Bruderle, and William Bruderle.
Left to cherish Grace’s memory is her daughter, Kathy O’Daniel and her husband Joseph O’Daniel; grandchildren, Devin O’Daniel, Misty Hawkins, Crystal Craig; great grandchildren, Ryan, Alexis, Joshua, Isabelle Grace, Mya, Bailey; son-in-law, Michael Horan; and many loving extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 1pm – 6pm at Arch L Heady Funeral Home – Okolona. The funeral service will be Monday at 11:30am at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
