Gina D. Taylor

She is preceded in passing by her maternal grandparents, Mildred and Floyd Hazelwood, paternal grandparents, Marie and Kelly Abell, Jr., and step father, Richard “Rick” Long.

Gina was a graduate from Farmdale Christian Academy. She played basketball for the school and her love for the sport continued after graduation, as she was always an avid UK Fan. Gina was blessed with four children who became her pride and joy. She became President of the Parent and Teacher Association, always staying involved with her children and bringing them along with her on every trip taken. Beach trips were her favorite, the peace and joy her children brought her made each trip just as special as the last. She will be missed deeply and never forgotten.

Here to cherish her memory is her husband of 27 years, Jeff Taylor, children; Brandon Wood, Marissa Taylor, Krista Taylor, Savanna Taylor, mother, Brenda Whitworth Long, father, Donald Abell, Sr. (Brenda), sister, Lindsay Whitworth, brother, Donald Abell, Jr. (Bridgett), nephew, Donald Abell, III and her furry companions; Dominic, Sebastian, Gatsby and Saoirse.

Visitation will occur at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218, on Monday, April 04, 2022 from 11:00AM- 2:00PM.

A celebration of Gina’s life will follow visitation, beginning at 2:00PM at the funeral home.

Gina will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218.
